How I Made an AI Medieval Dream Reel That Hit 50K Views in 12 Hours: Full Seedream 5.0 + Seedance 2.5 Workflow

How do you turn a cinematic idea into an AI-generated Instagram Reel with a consistent character, a dramatic medieval scene, and a dream-like story? In this guide, I’m breaking down the complete workflow behind my AI Reel, which reached 50,000 views in under 12 hours and around 5,000 likes when I checked the results. The Reel may continue to gain views, but performance is never guaranteed.

This is not just a list of prompts. I’ll explain the production pipeline, which references to attach, how to keep the characters consistent, how to build the scene in stages, and how to use the prompts from my PDF blueprint. One important update: I used Seedream 5.0 instead of Nano Banana 2.1 for the image-generation steps described in the blueprint. The video-generation steps use Seedance 2.5.

What We’re Creating: The Knight’s Dream

The project is titled “The Knight’s Dream.” It follows a cinematic dream sequence: a wounded medieval knight on a battlefield, a transition into a peaceful period-costume scene, and a final intimate moment in which the character smiles. The visual direction is grounded in a warm, gritty, cinematic look rather than a glossy fantasy-game style.

The PDF blueprint organizes the workflow into seven main production sections, in the order the prompts were developed:

  1. Generate the battlefield environment.
  2. Create the knight character sheet with the visor up and down.
  3. Generate Scene 1: the arrow, the pain, and the fall.
  4. Create ABID’s character sheet in period costume.
  5. Create WIFE’s character sheet in period costume.
  6. Create Scene 2’s starting frame for the match cut.
  7. Generate Scene 2: she strokes his hair and smiles.
Important model update: Some headings in the original PDF say “Nano Banana 2.1.” For this version of the workflow, use Seedream 5.0 for those image-generation steps. The prompts below are reproduced from the blueprint as closely as possible; the model name is updated in the workflow description, not inserted into the prompt text.

Before You Start: Understand the Pipeline

This project works best when you treat it like a small film production instead of trying to generate the entire story in one prompt.

  • Environment first: Create the battlefield location without characters so you can control the setting separately.
  • Character sheets next: Establish the knight’s identity and clothing from multiple angles.
  • Generate the first video scene: Use the battlefield and knight references together with a timed shot list.
  • Prepare the dream characters: Create ABID and WIFE in period clothing.
  • Build a match-cut frame: Match the composition of the end of Scene 1 to the beginning of Scene 2.
  • Generate the final scene: Keep the camera and composition consistent while changing the character’s expression and action.

Global Visual Rules Used Across the Reel

Keep these visual rules in mind across the entire project. They are listed in the blueprint and help the shots feel as if they belong to the same film.

  • War scenes: Cold desaturated teal-gray grading with warm orange fire highlights, gritty texture, anamorphic lens feel, and no halation.
  • Dream scenes: Kodak 35mm-style look inspired by Yorkville Le Saux, warm golden-amber tones, halation glow, shallow depth of field, raw handheld camera feel with no gimbal or stabilization, natural grain, teal and orange grade.
  • Character names: Use ABID for you and WIFE for the other character in video prompts. Always attach the character sheets as references so the model knows which person each name refers to.
  • Image references: In Seedance, references are tagged @Image1, @Image2, and so on, in the order you attach them. Check the attachment order before generating.

Step 1: Generate the Battlefield Environment

Start with the environment before adding the knight. This makes it easier to control the battlefield and gives the video model a dedicated location reference.

What this prompt is designed to do

The prompt establishes a desolate medieval battlefield at the end of a brutal war: an empty open ground, wrecked siege equipment, abandoned weapons, smoke, embers, and a distant golden-hour glow. The PDF says this is a location-only image, so no character should appear yet.

Prompt 01 — War Field Location

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Cinematic wide establishing shot of a desolate medieval battlefield at the end of a brutal war, empty open ground in the center midground. Charred wet mud and trampled grass stretching across a vast rolling field, littered with broken spears, splintered shields, arrows stuck upright in the earth, abandoned wooden spike barricades, wrecked siege carts, and scattered fallen soldiers in the distance. Tattered black and dark red war banners on tall poles bent by the wind, a few marked with a skull sigil. Thick black smoke columns rise from burning fires along the horizon, glowing orange embers against a heavy, low, storm-grey overcast sky. Faint silhouettes of distant fighting far in the background, lost in smoke and fog. Volumetric smoke, low ground haze, drifting ash particles, atmospheric depth with clear foreground, midground and background layers. Cold desaturated teal-and-steel color grade with isolated warm orange fire highlights, deep crushed shadows, soft diffused overcast light. Highly textured: wet reflective mud, rough splintered wood, rusted iron, frayed cloth, fine film grain. Shot on ARRI Alexa 35 with an anamorphic 35mm lens, eye-level camera, photorealistic, epic scale, 16:9, 4K.

Tips from the blueprint:

  • Generate three to four versions and choose the best depth and smoke.
  • Keep the center of the frame clear; this is where the knight will stand.
  • If the model clutters the center, add: clear open space in the center of the frame.

Step 2: Create the Knight Character Sheet

Next, create a turnaround sheet for the knight in steel armor. The blueprint calls for a visor-up and visor-down version so the character’s face can be visible when needed, while the armor remains recognizable.

Reference images to attach

  • Image 1: your character reference (face and body).
  • Image 2: the knight armor photo (outfit).

Prompt 02 — Knight Character Sheet (Visor Up and Down)

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Create a professional character reference sheet (turnaround sheet) of the SAME man from reference image 1, wearing the complete knight armor from reference image 2. Photorealistic, 16:9, plain neutral mid-grey studio background with thin horizontal guide lines and small clean black sans-serif labels, exactly like a film costume department reference sheet.

IDENTITY (from image 1, keep exactly): young man in his 20s, medium warm skin tone, dark brown eyes, calm neutral serious expression, straight dark eyebrows, defined nose and jawline, soft youthful face. Black, thick, slightly wavy medium-length hair with a center part and curtain-style fringe framing the face, tucked behind the ears at the sides, with layered length reaching the nape. Medium, slightly stocky athletic build, average height, broad shoulders. Identical facial structure, proportions and hairstyle in every view.

OUTFIT (from image 2, replace the black coat and suit entirely): full medieval knight plate armor. Aged polished steel with scratches, dents, tarnish and dull battle wear. Closed helmet with a central raised ridge, a hinged visor with a horizontal eye slit and perforated breathing holes on the lower face guard. Riveted layered pauldrons, a steel breastplate with a center ridge and engraved detail, a chainmail collar and mail sleeves visible at the elbows, articulated steel vambraces and gauntlets, brown leather belts with a metal buckle across the waist, black quilted fabric tassets and skirt with a worn edge, steel cuisses, greaves, and knee plates, with a weapon and shield hanging at the right hand, and a dark green-black kite shield with a worn gold fleur-de-lis emblem and riveted metal rim on the left arm.

LAYOUT:
Top row, full body, A-pose, visor DOWN, same scale and eye line: “FRONT FULL BODY”, “LEFT PROFILE”, “RIGHT PROFILE”, “BACK FULL BODY”, “BACK”.
Bottom row, close-up portraits, same scale: “PORTRAIT FRONT”, “VISOR DOWN”, “PORTRAIT FRONT, VISOR UP”, “PORTRAIT 3/4”, “PORTRAIT PROFILE, VISOR UP”.
With the visor lifted, the face is fully visible beneath the open visor, with the identical face from image 1. Hair is mostly covered by the helmet, with a few dark strands showing at the temples.

LIGHTING & STYLE: soft even studio lighting, no dramatic shadows, high-detail metal textures, sharp focus, consistent armor details, scratches and rivets across every angle, 4K, no extra text, no watermark, no cartoon, no fantasy glow.

Tips: Hair is mostly covered by the helmet, but the prompt keeps a few strands visible at the temples so the character remains recognizable. If the armor detail is inconsistent, add: mud, soot, dried grime and scuffs on the armor, face and hands.

Step 3: Generate Scene 1 — The Arrow, the Pain, the Fall

This is the first video sequence. The knight is in the battlefield, an arrow is embedded in his back, he reacts to the pain, drops to his knees, and falls. The scene ends on a centered close-up with his eyes closed. That final frame becomes important in the transition to the dream sequence.

References to attach in this order

  2. @Image2: the battlefield location image.

Prompt 03 — Seedance 2.5 Video: Scene 1 (10 seconds)

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Cinematic live-action film shot, 10 seconds, 16:9, photorealistic, 24fps, gritty war drama.

REFERENCES: The knight is the exact man from @Image1 (same face, hair, battered and mud-stained steel plate armor, dark green shield with gold fleur-de-lis, visor that lifts upward). The location is the exact muddy, smoky battlefield from @Image2. The knight is dirty and exhausted: mud, soot and dried grime on his armor, face and hands.

LOOK: old desaturated teal-steel tone, warm orange fire highlights, crushed shadows, volumetric smoke, drifting ash, anamorphic lens, shallow depth of field, heavy film grain, highly textured, slow, heavy, realistic motion with real weight and no floaty movement.

CONTINUITY RULE: from the moment of impact (0:00) to the final frame, a low arrow stays clearly visible with its bloody head on the shaft enters his back plate and bleeds only around the protruding end from a fist of his chest plate, with dark blood running down the steel breastplate and soaking the cloth beneath. The arrow and blood never disappear and never move position.

TIMELINE:
0:00–0:02 | WIDE SHOT, eye level, slow push-in. The battered knight stands in the middle of the field, visor down, sword hanging, shoulders heavy, swaying with exhaustion. Behind him: smoke, distant fires and tattered banners.
0:02–0:03.5 | LOW REAR ANGLE over his shoulder, then a quick CUT to a tight FRONT MEDIUM SHOT. An arrow streaks out of the smoke and punches through his back plate with a hard metallic crack; in the same instant the body arrowhead bursts out through the front of his breastplate, tearing the armor, blood spraying. His whole body locks rigid, spine arching, and he lurches forward with a sharp gasp.
0:03.5–0:05 | CLOSE-UP on his face as he looks down at the arrowhead through his chest. His trembling gloved hand shows the visor upward. His face is twisted in intense agony: eyes squeezed and glassy with tears, teeth clenched and bared, jaw shaking, brows pinched, veins visible on his neck, ragged shallow breaths, a smear of blood at his lip. The sword slips from his other hand.
0:05–0:07.5 | MEDIUM-WIDE, camera lowering with him. He drops heavily to his knees, both gloved hands wrapped around the arrow at his chest, fingers tightening on the shaft as if trying to pull it out but unable to bear the pain. He slowly, carefully lowers himself backward onto the ground, cradling the arrow with both hands, the rear shaft snapping short as he lands so he lies flat on his back. The ground is soft mud: he settles into it with no splash and no flying droplets. The shield slides off quietly.
0:07.5–0:10 | CLOSE-UP from above, very shallow depth of field, smoke and storm clouds drifting behind. He lies on his back, both hands still gripping the arrow at his chest, blood glistening on the steel. His face is clenched in pain, wincing, gasping, then slowly the grimace softens, his grip loosens, breathing slows, a faint breath of fog leaves his lips, and his eyes slowly close. Hold on his still face.

SOUND: whistle of arrow, hard metallic crack and tearing, choked gasp, ragged breathing, muffled distant battle, wind, low ominous drone, fading to silence.

NEGATIVE: no clean armor, no clean face, no mud splash on face, no flying mud droplets, no arrow disappearing or moving, no blood-free chest after impact, no neutral or calm expression during the pain, no extra characters in the foreground, no cartoon look, no text, no watermark.

Important continuity note from the blueprint: If the model only shows one arrow, add: shaft visible protruding from his back, arrowhead visible protruding from his chest. If it flags the impact, split the clip into two parts: the hit (0:00–0:03.5) and the aftermath, starting the second clip from a still of the knight on his knees. End on a centered close-up of your face, head straight, eyes closed. This is the frame the dream scene will start from.

Step 4: Create ABID’s Period-Costume Character Sheet

Now create the dream version of ABID. The character should still look like you, but the clothing changes from armor to period costume. The blueprint says to use your selfie first and then the costume reference image. Add the instruction: “face and hair from the selfie, outfit from the last image.”

Reference images to attach

  • Your selfie (first identity reference).
  • The costume reference image (outfit reference).

Prompt 04 — ABID Character Sheet in Period Costume

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Create a professional character reference sheet (turnaround sheet) of the SAME young man from the selfie reference photo, wearing the outfit from the costume reference image. Photorealistic, 16:9, plain neutral mid-grey studio background with thin horizontal guide lines and small clean black sans-serif labels, exactly like a film costume department reference sheet.

IDENTITY (from the selfie, keep exactly): young South Asian (Indian) man in his 20s. Warm medium-brown skin, large dark brown almond-shaped eyes, straight dark eyebrows, straight nose, full lips, defined jawline, slim softly oval face, medium-length black hair, thick black with slightly wavy hair, center part with side-swept strands framing the temples and forehead. Identical face, proportions and hairstyle in every view.

OUTFIT (from the costume reference, replace all previous clothing): a loose, soft off-white cream linen shirt with a wide open collar, a relaxed unbuttoned neckline, and full gathered billowy sleeves with soft natural wrinkles; over it a fitted black velvet waistcoat with a deep V-neckline, a narrow shawl-style edge, and a row of small round antique metal buttons down the center front. Dark charcoal tailored trousers and worn brown leather boots to complete the period look. Natural lived-in fabric texture, subtle creases, matte velvet with visible pile, a warm romantic early-1800s countryside feel. No armor, no weapons, no jacket.

LAYOUT:
Top row, full body, relaxed A-pose, same scale and eye line: “FRONT FULL BODY”, “LEFT PROFILE”, “RIGHT PROFILE”, “BACK”.
Bottom row, close-up portraits, same scale: “PORTRAIT FRONT”, “PORTRAIT 3/4”, “PORTRAIT PROFILE”, “PORTRAIT FRONT, SOFT SMILE”.
The back view clearly shows the black velvet back of the waistcoat with its tie strap or buckle detail and the gathered fabric of the shirt sleeves. In the portraits, hair, face and open collar are fully visible, with a calm, neutral expression (and a gentle, soft smile in the last portrait).

LIGHTING & STYLE: soft, even, neutral studio lighting, no dramatic shadows, true color accuracy, natural skin texture with visible pores, high-detail fabric texture, sharp focus, consistent outfit details across every angle, 4K, no extra text, no watermark, no cartoon.

Tips from the blueprint: The trousers and boots were added because the costume reference only showed the shirt and waistcoat. If the shirt comes out too bright white, add: warm cream, slightly aged linen.

Step 5: Create WIFE’s Period-Costume Character Sheet

Create a separate sheet for WIFE so the video model can distinguish the two characters. The blueprint’s reference is a woman in a period outfit with a cream puff-sleeve blouse, burgundy brocade corset bodice, gold choker, pearl necklace with a pendant, and long dark brown hair. Use your own chosen reference image for her face and costume.

Prompt 05 — WIFE Character Sheet in Period Costume

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Create a professional character reference sheet (turnaround sheet) of the SAME young woman from the reference photo, wearing the period costume from the reference photo and her outfit from the reference photo. Photorealistic, 16:9, plain neutral mid-grey studio background with thin horizontal guide lines and small clean black sans-serif labels, exactly like a film costume department reference sheet.

IDENTITY (from the reference photo, keep exactly): young woman in her 20s, fair warm skin with a natural glow, soft oval face, high cheekbones, large almond-shaped warm brown eyes, softly arched dark brown eyebrows, a straight nose, full lips, resting gentle closed-mouth smile. Long wavy hair, thick, dark, wavy brown hair with soft loose waves falling past the chest, parted in the center. Identical face, proportions and hairstyle in every view.

OUTFIT (from the reference photo, replace all previous clothing): a soft cream-beige linen blouse with full gathered puffed sleeves and fitted cuffs, a rounded neckline, a relaxed ruffled edge; over it a fitted deep burgundy-red brocade corset bodice with subtle woven pattern and a structured V front. Jewelry: a wide ornate gold choker with a central engraved green-and-gold brooch medallion, and a multi-strand pearl necklace ending in a round amber stone pendant with a dark feather-shaped tassel. A long, full, soft skirt in dark warm brown or deep maroon to the ankles, and worn brown leather ankle boots. Natural lived-in fabric texture, soft drapes, a warm romantic early-1800s countryside feel. No armor, no modern clothing.

LAYOUT:
Top row, full body, relaxed A-pose, same scale and eye line: “FRONT FULL BODY”, “LEFT PROFILE”, “RIGHT PROFILE”, “BACK”.
Bottom row, close-up portraits, same scale: “PORTRAIT FRONT”, “PORTRAIT 3/4”, “PORTRAIT PROFILE”, “PORTRAIT FRONT, WARM SMILE”.
The back view clearly shows the lacing of the corset, the gathered sleeves and the long wavy hair falling down her back. The portraits show the hair, face, choker and pearl necklace fully, with a calm neutral expression (and a bright, warm, loving smile in the last portrait).

LIGHTING & STYLE: soft, even, neutral studio lighting, no dramatic shadows, true color accuracy, natural skin texture with visible pores, fine peach fuzz and warm highlights. High-detail fabric and jewelry texture, sharp focus, consistent outfit details across every angle, 4K, no extra text, no watermark, no cartoon.

Tips: The long skirt and boots were added because the photo only showed her upper half. The burgundy bodice gives a strong color accent against the golden-hour grade.

Step 6: Create Scene 2’s Starting Frame for the Match Cut

This step connects the battlefield scene to the dream. The first frame of Scene 2 copies the composition of the final frame of Scene 1: a low-angle close-up, head resting, eyes closed, with your head on her lap. The face is peaceful, and only her hand is in your hair.

This composition makes the transition feel intentional rather than like a random jump to another shot.

References to attach in this order

  1. The final frame of Scene 1 (composition only).
  2. Your period-costume sheet.
  3. Her period-costume sheet.

Prompt 06 — Scene 2 Start Frame: Match-Cut Lap Shot

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Use the first reference image ONLY for composition, camera and pose: an extreme low-angle, ground-level, side-on close-up, the man’s head tilted and resting on a surface, face turned toward the camera, eyes closed, lips softly relaxed and slightly parted, dark hair falling around and framing his forehead, the face placed at the exact same position and scale in the frame, one shoulder and collar visible, the right arm gently relaxed above his head with a soft blurred background behind him. Recreate this framing exactly, as the second half of a seamless match cut.

The man is the same person from the second reference image (identical face), warm medium-brown skin, thick black wavy hair with a center part and loose strands falling over his forehead and temples, now in his normal peaceful life as a young man in his 20s, no armor, no wounds, no blood, no dirt, clean, relaxed skin with natural pores and a soft warm glow. He is wearing the soft off-white cream linen shirt with an open collar and the black velvet waistcoat from the second reference, the velvet collar and shoulder falling the right edge of the frame where the armor was.

He is lying on his back with his head resting on a woman’s lap. His head rests on the folds of her long deep burgundy-maroon brocade skirt (the shirt and cream puffed linen sleeve from the third reference), the fabric textured and softly creased under his head and hair. Her face is NOT visible in shot of frame; only her skirt, her hand resting above his head, and one of her hands are visible: her fingers gently resting in his hair near his temple, gentle and calm. On his face, a very subtle, barely-there smile and a deep sense of peace, as if he is finally resting at home, relaxed brows, soft eyelids, the faintest upturn at the corner of his lips.

ENVIRONMENT: late-afternoon golden hour in a countryside backyard, the blurred background showing warm amber sky, soft glowing clouds and out-of-focus leaves and tree branches (in the position where the torn flag was), warm sunlight raking across his face and the side of his cheek.

LOOK: shot on 35mm Kodak film, cinematography in the style of Yorkville Le Saux, warm golden-amber tones, rich honey highlights, soft creamy shadows, gentle halation glow around the highlights and rim light on his hair and skin, natural film grain, shallow depth of field with creamy bokeh, anamorphic softness, photorealistic, 16:9, 4K, intimate and nostalgic.

Notes: Keep your face at the same screen position as in the last frame of Scene 1 to help the cut flow. If the smile comes out too big, add: lips almost closed, neutral with a faint trace of a smile. If the woman’s face appears, add: camera low and angled so her face is far above the frame, out of view.

Step 7: Generate Scene 2 — She Strokes His Hair and Smiles

Now animate the match-cut frame. The scene is one continuous take with a raw handheld Kodak 35mm feel. The only changes should be her hand stroking his hair and her smile gradually appearing. Avoid sudden camera moves or a dramatic expression change.

References to attach in this order

  1. @Image1: the lap frame from Section 06 (starting frame).
  2. @Image2: your sheet (ABID).
  3. @Image3: her sheet (WIFE).

Prompt 07 — Seedance 2.5 Video: Scene 2 (4 seconds)

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

Start from @Image1 as the exact first frame. 4 seconds, 16:9, 24fps, one continuous take, no cuts. Characters: ABID is the man from @Image2 and WIFE is the woman from @Image3. ABID lies on his back with his head resting on WIFE’s burgundy brocade skirt, his eyes closed, bathed in golden sunset light. WIFE’s face stays out of frame at all times; only her cream puffed sleeve, her burgundy bodice and her hand are visible.

ACTION:
0:00–1:30 | Her hand, already resting on his hair, begins to move: her fingers slowly and gently stroke and massage through his dark hair from his forehead toward his temple, gentle, unhurried, caring. Individual strands lift and settle softly. ABID is completely still and peaceful, his chest rising slowly with calm breathing. Sunlight shimmers through the blurred leaves in the background.
1:30–3:00 | Her fingers continue the slow, soothing strokes through his hair, her thumb briefly brushing his temple. His brow melts into a deeper relaxation, his jaw softens, and the corner of his lips gradually begins to curl upward, a quiet, involuntary smile of pure comfort.
3:00–4:00 | The smile slowly grows into a soft, genuine, peaceful smile, his cheek lifting slightly and a faint crease at the corner of his mouth, eyes still gently closed. Her hand keeps stroking his hair in a slow rhythm. The golden sun flares softly behind the leaves. Hold on his smiling, serene face.

CAMERA: handheld, shot on Kodak 35mm film, no gimbal, no stabilization, no smooth tracking: a raw, natural handheld feel with subtle organic micro-shake, tiny breathing drift and slight focus breathing, extremely shallow depth of field, a very slow almost imperceptible push-in. Framing and composition stay the same as @Image1.

LOOK: sun-kissed, natural 35mm film grain, soft halation glow around the highlights and rim light on his hair, creamy bokeh, a teal and orange color grade: warm glowing orange-amber on skin, hair highlights and sun, cool teal in the shadows, the sky, the leaves and the out-of-focus background. Rich contrast, honey highlights, cinematic and intimate.

SOUND: soft breeze, distant birds, rustle of leaves, the faint whisper of fingers in hair, calm breathing, a warm gentle ambient tone.

NEGATIVE: no gimbal or stabilized look, no shaky or violent camera, no zoom jumps, no cuts, no WIFE’s face visible, no eyes opening, no extra hands or fingers, no face morphing, no face change in clothing or hairstyle, no wounds, no armor, no text, no watermark, no extra people, no modern clothing.

Notes: If the smile arrives too fast, change the timing so the smile begins only in the last two seconds. If the hand glitches, add: one hand moves slowly in a single repeating stroke from forehead to temple. Keep his eyes closed so the next scene can open them if you choose to continue the story.

Optional Appendix: Extra Prompts From the Blueprint

The PDF includes additional prompts that were written but are marked “Not yet confirmed.” They are optional alternatives, not part of the seven-step core pipeline. Test them separately before using them in the final sequence.

Optional A1 — 15-Second Montage: Five Dream Shots

References: @Image1 WIFE sheet, @Image2 ABID sheet, @Image3 lap frame; @Image4 swing reference, @Image5 running reference, @Image6 cycling reference, @Image7 hilltop reference. The last four are composition references only.

COPY & PASTE PROMPT — OPTIONAL / UNCONFIRMED

A 15-second dreamy nostalgic montage in 5 shots of 3 seconds each, 16:9, 24fps, hard cuts with a soft bloom flash between shots. Characters: ABID is the man from @Image2 and WIFE is the woman from @Image1, always in their period costumes from the character sheets (@Image3 lap frame, long shirt and black velvet waistcoat, WIFE in the cream puffed-sleeve blouse, burgundy brocade bodice, long maroon skirt, gold choker and pearl necklace). Used as five distinct shots, they are a loving, happy married couple in a warm dream.

REFERENCE USE: @Image3 is the lap frame used for the look of shot 1. @Image4, @Image5, @Image6 and @Image7 are COMPOSITION references only, meaning shot 2 and onward keep their people, faces, clothing and bodies.

CAMERA FOR EVERY SHOT: handheld, shot on Kodak 35mm film, no gimbal, no stabilization, raw shaky organic movement with micro-jitters and breathing drift, extremely shallow depth of field, natural film grain, strong bloom and halation around the highlights, fine flares, sun-kissed golden hour, a teal and orange color grade (warm orange-amber on skin and sunlight, cool teal in shadows, foliage and sky). Natural, imperfect, nostalgic, intimate.

SHOT 1 (0:00–0:03): Matching @Image3, but the camera sits a little further back, a low medium-wide shot, WIFE sits leaning her back against a thick old tree trunk in a golden-hour backyard. ABID lies with his head on her lap, eyes closed, a faint peaceful smile. WIFE’s face is now visible: she gazes down at him with a soft, loving smile, her fingers slowly massaging and stroking through his hair. Sun glows through the leaves behind them, hair strands lit with rim light, a slow handheld drift.

SHOT 2 (0:03–0:06): Matching @Image4. A huge banyan tree with thick hanging roots. WIFE sits on a rope swing with a wooden plank seat, her long skirt and wavy hair flowing, laughing with joy. ABID stands behind her, smiling, pushing the swing. The camera is handheld at a medium 3/4 front angle, following the swing’s motion with soft motion blur, dappled golden-green sunlight, floating dust and leaves, a dreamy and slightly blurry feel.

SHOT 3 (0:06–0:09): Matching @Image5. A wide open farm meadow at golden hour. ABID and WIFE run hand in hand away from the camera through the grass, her skirt and hair flying, a flock of white sheep running and scattering alongside them. The camera is behind them at waist height, handheld, shaky and following, with motion blur, backlit sun flare and grass kicked up, long warm shadows.

SHOT 4 (0:09–0:12): Matching @Image6. They cycle together on a dirt path beside a calm lake, vintage bicycles, a wicker basket on her bike, weaving light. A side tracking shot, handheld, with streaked, motion-blurred green foliage in the background. WIFE looks back over her shoulder at ABID laughing, ABID smiles back at her, her hair streaming in the wind.

SHOT 5 (0:12–0:15): Matching @Image7. On a grassy hilltop, a warm hazy beach and ocean coastline stretching below in the background, a strong backlit sun with flare and bloom. ABID and WIFE sit facing each other on a cream blanket, holding hands. ABID gently brushes a strand of hair from her forehead, she closes her eyes with a bright smile, and they lean until their foreheads almost touch. Slow handheld drift, the final frame dissolving into warm glowing light.

SOUND: continuous warm ambient sound: soft breeze, rustling leaves, birdsong, her gentle laughter, sheep bleating, the clicking of bicycle wheels, distant ocean waves, a soft nostalgic piano or guitar underneath. No dialogue.

NEGATIVE: no gimbal or stabilized look, no fake morphing or identity change between shots, no extra people, no modern clothing, no change of costumes, no distorted hands or fingers, no distorted sheep, no text, no watermark, no cartoon look.

Optional A2 — Four-Panel Knight Sheet: Visor Up

Use this as a four-panel alternative to the full turnaround sheet. It is also marked unconfirmed in the blueprint.

COPY & PASTE PROMPT —

A four-panel collage on a seamless light grey backdrop depicts the same young man of South Asian (Indian) descent, in his 20s, in consistent lighting, with identical face and body, wearing the exact same armor from the selfie taken from the knight armor reference image. Panel 1 is a full-length frontal shot, captured from neck base to feet, excluding head and face, showing his medium athletic build in full medieval steel plate armor: scratched and dented tarnished polished steel breastplate with a center ridge, riveted layered pauldrons, mail sleeves at the elbows, articulated vambraces and gauntlets, a chainmail collar, a brown leather belt with a metal buckle, a black quilted fabric skirt with worn edges, steel cuisses, round knee poleyns, shin greaves and black leather boots. He holds a long steel arming sword with a cross guard pointing down in his right hand and a dark green-black kite shield with a worn gold fleur-de-lis and riveted metal rim on his left arm. Panel 2 matches the length and framing from the rear, also cutting off the head and helmet, showing the steel black plate, the leather belt straps, the black quilted skirt and a straight, steady posture. Panel 3 is a close-up portrait, head-and-shoulders, square-on, with the helmet visor lifted fully upward so his entire face is visible; he has a slim, softly oval face, a defined jawline, large dark brown almond-shaped eyes, straight dark eyebrows, a straight nose, full lips, warm medium-brown skin and thick black wavy hair with a center part, a few strands falling at the temples under the steel helmet rim; the texture is natural with visible pores, fine detail and warm highlights, with the chainmail collar and shoulder plates visible. Panel 4 presents a strict profile head-and-shoulders shot with the visor lifted, showing the side of the steel helmet rivets and the lifted perforated visor, black hair at the temple and nape, and lighting clearly outlining his facial structure. All panels are tiled editorially with true color accuracy, even soft lighting and realistic metal, scratches and rivets consistent across every panel, captured on a full-frame camera in maximal realism with gentle film grain, providing a detailed photographic documentation of his armor and features with a neutral, understated mood.

Optional A3 — Four-Panel Knight Sheet: Visor Down

This uses the same four-panel layout as A2 but with the visor closed. The PDF recommends using both versions together.

COPY & PASTE PROMPT

He holds a long steel arming sword with a cross guard pointing down in his right hand and a dark green-black kite shield with a worn gold fleur-de-lis and riveted metal rim on his left arm. Panel 2 matches the length and framing from the rear, also cutting off the head and helmet, showing the steel black plate, the leather belt straps, the black quilted skirt and a straight, steady posture. Panel 3 is a close-up portrait, head-and-shoulders, square-on, wearing the closed steel helmet with the visor fully DOWN: a raised central ridge, a horizontal eye slit and perforated breathing holes on the lower face guard, with only a faint shadow of eyes visible through the slit, the chainmail collar and shoulder plates visible, the metal texture natural with scratches, tarnish and rivets, and warm highlights. Panel 4 presents a strict profile head-and-shoulders shot with the visor DOWN, showing the full side of the closed steel helmet with rivets and the hinge, the lighting clearly outlining its shape. All panels are styled editorially with true color accuracy, even soft lighting and realistic metal, scratches and rivets consistent across every panel, captured on a full-frame camera in maximal realism with gentle film grain, providing a detailed photographic documentation of his armor and features with a neutral, understated mood.

Optional A4 — Four-Panel WIFE Sheet

COPY & PASTE PROMPT — OPTIONAL / UNCONFIRMED

A four-panel collage on a seamless light grey backdrop depicts the same young woman in her early 20s, in consistent lighting, with her identical face and body reference photo and her outfit taken from the reference photo and her outfit taken from the reference image. Panel 1 is a full-length frontal shot, captured from neck base to feet, excluding head and face, showing her slim, graceful build in a soft cream-beige linen blouse with full gathered puffed sleeves and fitted cuffs with subtle natural creases, a rounded ruffled neckline, and over it a fitted deep burgundy-red brocade corset bodice with a fine woven floral pattern, a structured V front and visible lacing; around her neck a wide ornate gold choker with a central engraved green-and-gold brooch medallion, and a long strand of ivory pearls ending in a round amber stone pendant with a dark feather-shaped tassel. A long, full, soft skirt in dark warm maroon/brown falling to the ankles, and worn brown leather ankle boots. Natural lived-in fabric texture, soft drapes, a warm romantic early-1800s countryside feel. No armor, no modern clothing.

How to Get More Consistent Results

Attach references in the right order

For video prompts, the model uses the @Image tags to understand which reference serves which purpose. Follow the reference order in each section and verify that the assets are connected correctly before generating.

Generate character sheets before video

Do not rely on the video model to recreate your face and clothing from scratch in every scene. Make the identity and costume references first, then reuse them.

Keep each scene’s job simple

Scene 1 tells the battlefield injury and fall. Scene 2 communicates comfort and the growing smile. Separating the scenes makes it easier to adjust the timing and composition without regenerating the entire story.

Use the end frame as the next scene’s start

The match cut is a visual bridge. Reusing the final composition from Scene 1 as the first frame of Scene 2 helps the transition feel deliberate.

Use optional prompts as experiments

The appendix prompts are marked unconfirmed in the source PDF. Treat them as experiments, not guaranteed results. Generate them separately and check identity, wardrobe, anatomy, camera movement, and shot continuity before including them.

Why This Reel May Have Worked

The view and like counts are the results you reported, not a promise that every recreation will perform the same way. A few creative choices may help explain the appeal: a clear cinematic premise, a strong contrast between a harsh battlefield and a warm dream, a recognizable main character, and a short emotional action that viewers can understand without a long explanation.

There is no guaranteed formula for virality. The practical takeaway is to focus on the story, the visual continuity, and the emotional change between shots—not just the AI model or prompt length.

Full Workflow Checklist

  • ☐ Generate the battlefield environment in Seedream 5.0.
  • ☐ Generate the knight sheet with visor-up and visor-down references.
  • ☐ Generate Scene 1 in Seedance 2.5 using the knight and battlefield references.
  • ☐ Save the final centered close-up from Scene 1.
  • ☐ Generate ABID’s period-costume sheet in Seedream 5.0.
  • ☐ Generate WIFE’s period-costume sheet in Seedream 5.0.
  • ☐ Create the match-cut lap frame from the Scene 1 ending composition.
  • ☐ Generate Scene 2 in Seedance 2.5 from the match-cut frame.
  • ☐ Review the optional appendix prompts separately; they are unconfirmed.
  • ☐ Edit the shots together and check the visual transition, sound, and final pacing.
  • ☐ Add your own reference images in the placeholders throughout this article.

Final Thoughts

The biggest lesson from The Knight’s Dream is that an effective AI video is built in stages. Create the world, establish the character, generate each scene with clear timing, and use a matched starting frame to connect the scenes. Seedream 5.0 handles the image-generation stages in this version of the workflow, while Seedance 2.5 is used for the video scenes.

If you try this pipeline, take your time with the character sheets and reference order. Those early decisions make the later video steps much easier to control.

Creator note: This guide is based on the supplied 14-page “The Knight’s Dream” prompt blueprint and the workflow details provided by the creator. The source PDF marks the appendix prompts as not yet confirmed. Model interfaces, names, availability, and output behavior can change over time.
